About CCSWCDF

Founded in 2017, the Champaign County Soil and Water Conservation District Foundation (CCSWCDF) is a not-for-profit corporation located in Champaign, Illinois. It is organized exclusively for charitable, scientific, educational, wildlife, and plant conservation activities. The Foundation aims to preserve the basic natural resources of Champaign County and for the economic and social wellbeing of its citizens, and to increase public understanding and appreciation of those natural resources. 

To date, the Foundation has secured funding to allow the District to maintain the St. Joseph Wetland, enhance the STAR program, and provide various educational programs and financial incentives to local farmers and landowners. Privately sourced funding allows the Foundation to continue implementing programs to achieve its vision of a productive community in harmony with a quality environment.

In accordance with Internal Revenue Code, the Champaign County Soil and Water Conservation District Foundation is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation. Donations are tax deductible under IRC Section 170.
